The town's MP has spoken to the NHS Trust after reports that appointments are being cancelled because consultants aren't available.
Questions are being asked about the number of cancelled appointments at Scarborough Hospital.
Local Councillor - David Jeffels - says the problem seems to be a lack of consultants available to travel from York to Scarborough.
In response to the question from Councillor Jeffels, Scarborough's MP says he hopes the town's new Hospital redevelopment will lead to fewer cancelled appointments in the future.
Sir Robert Goodwill says he's raised the issue with the hospital trust and says he made the point that when the York and Scarborough sites merged the idea was that appointments would still be delivered locally.
