North Yorkshire police say the Spa Bridge and surrounding roads in Scarborough have now reopened following an earlier incident.
North Yorkshire Police closed the roads at just after 3pm on Friday as they dealt with an incident on Scarborough's Spa Bridge.
Officers said:
"It's currently closed and there will be no access to the seafront from Valley Road. Surrounding roads towards the Spa Bridge are also to be closed.
Thank you for your patience and please avoid the area whilst emergency services respond."
The roads reopened shortly after 5:30pm.
