Did you witness a collision in Scarborough on Sunday morning? Can you assist Police with an investigation?
At just before 4am on Sunday morning, officers had a call to report that a silver Seat Leon had collided with a lamp post on Stepney Road.
This collision resulted in a lot of debris, as it appeared that the driver had collided with a tree prior to the lamp post.
Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed for a short time.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for any witnesses of the collision, if they haven't already spoken to you and taken details, to please get in touch. Also, if you feel that you saw the vehicle driving out of Scarborough town centre prior to the collision, to also please contact them.
Anyone who may have had dashcam/cycle cam or CCTV footage in the area, they ask that you could please review any footage around the time of the collision.
