Pickering Town's Heslop Era Kicks Off With Victory

New Pickering player-boss Simon Heslop began with a victory on Saturday.

It was a case of taking things into his own hands as the former Scarborough Athletic and Bridlington Town midfielder Simon Heslop.

He opened the scoring in his first match in charge of the Pikes on Saturday.

Substitute Max Bauer then doubled their advantage against Frickley Athletic.

That's how it stayed with debutant York City loanee Oscar Shaw getting man of the match.

The victory takes Pickering Town up to eighth in Northern Counties East Premier and within six points of the division's play-off spots.
