The Friendship Rowing Club Whitby are looking for rowers and coxwains from aged 10 plus to come and join the club.
The club uses traditional wooden fixed-seat rowing boats, with crews consisting of 4 rowers and 1 coxswain.
During the open day, the club is running a 2k rowing machine challenge - a chance for you to give rowing a go.
On their Facebook event page they say:
"If you fancy giving a new sport a try, looking at picking up a new hobby, fancy improving your fitness and want to be a part of a fantastic club with a supportive, friendly atmosphere then rowing could be the sport for you!".
The open day starts at 1:00pm today at the Friendship Rowing Club, New Way Ghaut in Whitby.
