North Yorkshire Police is to introduce more ways of reporting crime online in order to take pressure off the non-emergency 101 service.
The county's Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Allot says the service has been under increasing pressure in recent months.
Initially only anti social behaviour could be reported on the North Yorkshire Police Website, but police and crime commissioner Philip Allot says more services are now being added to help take the pressure of the 101 phone line which has struggled with call volumes over recent months.
The REPORT IT section of the website now also includes was to report Hate Crime and details of road traffic collisions, it also contains sign posting to other agencies who can help with things like fraud and civil disputes.
