The number of serious injuries on North Yorkshire's roads is continuing to fall.
Figures show there were 244 fewer serious injuries in the county last year than in 2019.
But North Yorkshire Police's Chief Inspector of Specialist Operations, Alex Butterfield, says the number of fatalities have remained stubbornly static over the last few years.
The latest figures do show that the number of people being injured in serious road collisions in North Yorkshire is falling with year on year decreases since 2019.
