Most Schools in North Yorkshire wont be easing their COVID restrictions on Monday even though many of the measures will no longer be legally required.
Martin Kelly is the County Council's assistant director for children and families, as the school year draws to an end this week he's praised the way staff and pupils have coped with what has been a challenging year, and says that with days left until the end of the school year, most head teachers are choosing to stick with the existing arrangements for the final week of term.
There has been an increase in the number of COVID cases in North Yorkshire's classrooms over the last few weeks.
Martin Kelly says schools are continuing to respond well to COVID issues.
