The number of COVID patients in Scarborough Hospital increased this week from 3 to 9, that along with continuing high levels of demand for GP services is leading to heavy work loads for the health system.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS says if COVID cases do increase further it might well impact on planned procedures and their ability to work through the existing waiting lists:
