NHS Services in the Scarborough Borough Remain Under Pressure

The number of COVID patients in Scarborough Hospital increased this week from 3 to 9, that along with continuing high levels of demand for GP services is leading to heavy work loads for the health system.

Amanda Bloor from the NHS says if COVID cases do increase further it might well impact on planned procedures and their ability to work through the existing waiting lists:

Health leaders on the Yorkshire Coast are asking the public to think carefully about they access NHS services as the health system remains under pressure.

The number of COVID cases requiring treatment at Scarborough Hospital increased this week and the GP service is continuing to see high demand.

Amanda says there are a number of options available for accessing health care.
