Whitby Town have announced the permanent signing of Malik Dijksteel.
Dijksteel, a product of the Middlesbrough academy, spent a spell on loan at the Towbar Express Stadium last season, making 19 appearances.
He has been a free agent since leaving the Riverside Stadium in the summer. He has also previously spent time playing youth football with Feyernoord.
The 21-year-old is the brother of Middlesbrough midfielder Anfernee Dijksteel.
The attacking midfielder will be available for selection ahead of tonight's game at home to Gainsborough Trinity.
Local football fixtures will resume tonight after a pause to the season at the weekend as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Tonight's Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division tie with Gainsborough Trinity, and Saturday's Emirates FA Cup tie against Marske United will go ahead as scheduled.
For these two matches, both played during the period of National Mourning, tributes will be paid to The Queen in the form of players wearing black armbands, along with a minutes' silence being held prior to kick-off at both games.
