Fado & Tide in Filey has submitted a licensing application to host live indoor and outdoor music, dance performances, and late-night refreshments.
An Irish pub in Filey could soon be hosting live outdoor and indoor music performances if its application is approved.
Fado & Tide in Filey wants permission to host live indoor and outdoor music performances at its venue on Murray Street. The Melly Group’s proposal would also see indoor dance performances permitted, as well as allowing the retail sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises.
The pub recently applied for permission to place
“removable tables, chairs, and associated barriers on the public highway immediately outside the premises to provide an external seated customer area ancillary to the operation of the café, bar, and restaurant”.
Located at 9 and 11 Murray Street, the pub has a rating of 4.9 out of five stars on the customer-feedback website Tripadvisor.
The establishment’s premises licence application also proposes the provision of late-night refreshments, on the premises only.
Earlier this year, another pub in Murray Street was refused permission to use its rear yard as a seating area for its customers.
Banks Lounge Bar’s application for an outdoor drinking area was refused by councillors who said it would have had an “unacceptable” impact on local residents.
Fado & Tide’s application is currently open to representations from members of the public.
Residents wishing to comment on the proposal should contact the licensing authority by Tuesday, August 4.
