Scarborough has been a hot spot for fires in the open this summer.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they have seen an increase in call outs to fires in the area over the summer months.
Head of Assurance - James Manning - says there are a number of reasons for the increase.
Firefighters in Scarborough say they have seen a big increase in calls to fires in the open this summer. The fire service say that across the county the number of incidents is up on last year.
Yesterday a crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a small fire seen in an area of woodland with crews locating and putting out a small camp fire fire using 1 knapsack.

Across North Yorkshire there were 302 fires in the open between April and June up from 258 last year, 112 of those were in June.
