The Robin Hood's Bay Folk Weekend has raised nearly £2000 for the RNLI.
The annual event took place last weekend and featured a full weekend of Concerts, Music Sessions, Dance and Singarounds in and around Robin Hood's Bay.
Organisers say :
"The amazing total of £1916.66 was raised for the RNLI over the Folk Weekend. A big Thank You to all the Singers, Dancers, Musicians and Drummers, and everyone who supported. What an enjoyable Weekend, and a brilliant atmosphere all round the village."
The weekend events included performances from Chris Helme, the Taiko Drummers and the Fylingdales Folk Choir.
Collections for the RNLI were taken throughout the weekend.
There is a strong Folk Music scene in Robin Hood's Bay with The Bay Folk Club now meeting on the 1st & 3rd Friday Evening of the month in the Bottom Bar of The Bay Hotel at 8pm.
