Whitby's Market Place Toilets have been hit by flooding.
The town council say that over the weekend they have had a major flood at the Market Place public toilets.
Yorkshire Water have been out to rectify the situation twice as the problem reoccurred overnight – the council say it is possible the problem may have originated in a neighbouring building.
The council say :
"Yorkshire Water have advised us to keep the ladies closed for the next few days as we need to check that he system is running free of issues before it can be reopened fully.
The ladies toilet will remain closed until further notice."
