The reopening of Scarborough's Alpamare Water Park could be a catalyst for further developments in the area.
Flamingo Land have agreed to run the waterpark for the next 12 months, it's expected to reopen in July.
Flamingo Land Owner - Gordon Gibb - says he's aware of other sites in the vicinity, such as the former Mr Marvel's site, which have potential for the visitor economy:
