North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue say they responded after a female slipped off a cliff edge at Gristhorpe.
They say the incident happened just after 2am on Saturday morning.
Crews from Scarborough and Filey responded to a female that had slipped off a cliff edge.
The female was located and assisted back to safety by the crews using line rescue equipment.
She was then left in the care of paramedics on the scene.
