There could be extra funding on the way for services in the East Riding if the county gets a good devolution deal.
The Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Councillor Anne Handley , has been meeting with Government ministers in London this week to discuss the deal.
She says that it's all about getting the right deal.
There are hopes that a devolution deal for East Yorkshire would bring in new money from Westminster that could take future pressure off local council tax.
That's according to East Riding Councillor Leo Hammond, he says the new money would be managed by an elected mayor and although it will take some pressure off the local council's it wont necessarily mean that council tax bills will fall.
