The COVID virus is still circulating but is having a vastly reduced impact in the East Riding.
That's the message from East Yorkshire's public health lead.
Andy Kingdom says the change this winter has been significant.
A vaccination programme was in operation during December and January with those at risk being offered booster jabs.
East Yorkshire's Director of Public Health, Andy Kingdom, says the virus is still circulating but says the protection measures have been working well.
A further seasonal vaccination programme has been launched by teh NHS and is available to people aged 75 years and older, residents in care homes for older people, and those aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system.
The NHS say that eligible people should be offered an appointment between April and June, with those at highest risk being called in first, adding:
"You will be invited to have your booster around 6 months after your last dose, but you can have it as soon as 3 months."
