One person was trapped in their vehicle in Sneaton on Tuesday evening, after a collision with a bus.
It happened around 6.30pm and required firefighters to release the person, who was then airlifted to hospital.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue say officers from Whitby and Lythe attended the road traffic collision.
