Councillors in Whitby have expressed frustration at a lack of progress in reviewing the parking situation in the town.
The town's Mayor - Councillor Linda Wild - says she was at a meeting where the county council promised a review this year, and so far nothing's happened.
Councillor Wild is concerned the town is being overlooked and worries that will get worse when the new unitary authority is created.
Other town councillors are sceptical that a review of parking in the town will actually take place.
Scarborough Borough Council says it has been told a consultation will take place in the new year lead by the county council.
But Whitby Town Councillor - John Nock - doesn't think it will lead to anything significant.
