There are concerns at the amount of people who are setting up tents in public areas in Scarborough.
Speaking on behalf of the Civic Society and the friends of South Cliff Gardens, Adrian Perry said that there could be a number of issues if people are continuing to set up tents in these areas.
More than 5,000 people are recorded as homeless across the region and people have taken shelter in the shelters along coastline, in particular at South Cliff Gardens.
