There are concerns that volunteer library staff in North Yorkshire are being expected to deliver County Council-led events for which they have little or no training.
Councillor Bob Packham is a volunteer at his local library and says the recent mental health awareness week was a good example of the problem:

He feels the council is asking the volunteers to deliver important campaigns without the necessary support:
