North Yorkshire Police have continued to enforce the COVID rules in the Borough this weekend.
With the Scarborough Borough being something of a hot spot for breaches of the lockdown regulations, North Yorkshire Police have continued their clampdown on people breaching the lockdown rules.
The borough has seen more Fixed Penalty Notices issued than any other part of North Yorkshire during the third national lockdown and while many of those have been issued to local residents breaking the indoor gathering rules there have also been fines issued to people visiting from outside the area.
This weekend officers have reported four people from Leeds who had driven to Scarborough to look at a car one of them was interested in buying. The force says this is not an essential journey.
