Calls For Expanded Urgent Treatment Centre In Bridlington

There are calls for an expanded urgent treatment centre in Bridlington to reduce the amount of people who have to travel to Scarborough's A&E department.

Dr Alan Clarke, is a retired GP and chair of the Bridlington Health Forum.

He says that he'd like to see more surgical operations taking place locally.

Bridlington Health Forum is a group of volunteers representing local residents.

They offer listening ears and a voice to Bridlington and area residents who are concerned about local health care provision.

There mission is to protect, improve, and extend the provision of NHS services in Bridlington

Dr Alan Clarke believes that dealing with patients locally will help reduce the amount of people who have to travel long distances for emergency services.
