Town Councillors say parking in Whitby should be urgently reviewed.
The parking situation in Whitby needs an urgent review.
That's the call from some members of the town council who say the number of spaces in the town has fallen and the residents permit scheme is not working.
Councillor Peter Croft says action was promised years ago but has not been delivered.
In December last year the old Borough Council said that the way holiday lets are able to use resident parking schemes was likely to be part of a review of car parking in the borough in the new year, but Whitby Town Councillors expressed their scepticism that would actually take place.
Councillor Neil Swannick says there were discussions under the old borough council which seem to have stalled.
