Bridlington Round Table say their annual Santa Sleigh Tour has raised a record amount this year.
The annual fundraising tour of Bridlington went ahead with a number of changes this year to ensure COVID safety, and despite the restrictions the Bridlington Round Table say the event has raised more money for local good causes than ever before.
In a post at the end of the tour last night the Round Table said.
"All of us here at Bridlington Roundtable are lost for words. The year we have had has put many challenges in our way and affected each and every one of us in ways we couldn’t begin to imagine before.
But thanks to YOU, this year we have broken the record for donations on Santa’s sleigh
We can now announce, that this year, all from your very generous donations we have raised
£7260
That is just amazing and we are truly grateful to each and everyone of you that supported us. We SMASHED our £6000 target for this year and on last year, it’s an increase of a WHOPPING £1924. Now that is impressive.
It just shows that through adversity and challenge, we can all come together as a community to support each other, and for that Bridlington, you deserve a round of applause.
100% of the money we raise goes directly back into Bridlington, supporting YOUR community and the people in it who sometimes, just need a little assistance for a variety of reasons.
Your donations CAN and DO change lives, right on your doorstep for those in need.
From the bottom of our hearts, you are all Heroes. This coming year will undoubtedly throw some challenges our way but rest assured we are here for you. Some big things on the horizon so watch this space whilst we continue our year round work supporting people in Bridlington.
You can still support us all year round through donations on the link below:
