A free online workshop is being held tonight to help Bridlington firms prepare for life after lockdown.
Bridlington businesses are being invited to a free online workshop tonight which aims to help improve their resilience and grow sales during these challenging times. Organisers say the event will be focusing on actions which can allow businesses to continue trading and improving despite many firms having closed premises.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is offering the free online business support workshops –delivered by retail specialists – for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in town centres across the East Riding. The council has commissioned specialist consultants The Retail Group to provide the business growth workshops, which will provide practical ideas and suggestions about how SMEs can adapt, evolve and improve their performances over the coming months.
Tonight's event will focus specifically on Bridlington.
Cllr Victoria Aitken, is the East Riding of Yorkshire's portfolio holder for economic development and inward investment, she says the interactive workshop for Town Centre businesses in Bridlington will discuss practical ways to meet the ongoing trading challenges.
Councillor Aitken thinks it's important that Bridlington's businesses are ready for the end of lockdown and says many firms have found new ways of working during the pandemic which could be used to provide growth after lockdown.
The online event is frea to attend. It runs from 6pm to 7pm this evening (Thursday 28th January)
