Scarborough CC were the only winners on Saturday among our major cricket sides.
YPN Premier Scarborough were the only winners on a difficult day for our Yorkshire Coast cricket sides.
Piet Rinke may have regretted putting hosts Beverley in as they surged to 107/1, but regular wickets restricted them to 247/7 from their 50 overs.
Ben Elvidge picked up two wickets and the rest were shared between Guy Emmett, Breidyn Schaper and Linden Gray.
Boro responded strongly, putting on 95 for the first wicket before wicket-keeper Duncan Brown went for 41.
Fellow opener Ollie Stephenson made 64, with Schaper (83 not out) guiding the visitors home by seven wickets, with more than eight overs left.
Whitby's woes continue in North Yorkshire South Durham Division One.
Home side Darlington smashed their way to an astonishing 389/5, declaring a ball before the end of the 40th over.
For Whitby, Ricky Hall took two wickets, with scalps for Tom Steyert, Matty Towey and Joe Padmore.
Kai Morris' men were then blown away for 138 in less than 27 overs. Jack Cairns top-scored with 29, but the visitors suffered a humbling 251-run defeat.
In the YPN Championship, Bridlington lost at home to Malton & Old Malton.
Batting first, a bizarre scenario saw Brid reduced to 65/7, only for John Major to hammer a scintillating 152 from 121 balls.
Only two other batters made double figures with Major and tail-ender Chris Leeson adding 60 for the last wicket as the hosts posted a respectable 217 in less than 38 overs.
Ben Traves then grabbed an early lbw as the away side fell to 0-1. It was 45-2 and 121-4 as the hosts created pressure with the ball.
However, an 80-run fifth-wicket partnership and an unbroken 18th for the sixth wicket saw Malton home by five wickets with three and a half overs remaining.
Russell Robinson, Elliot Traves and Major also took wickets.
Folkton & Flixton took on Whitkirk who batted first and used all of their 50 overs to post an imposing 287 all out.
Elliot Hatton took 4 for 65, Max Harland picked up 2 for 45, with Harry Walmsley finishing with figures of 2 for 69 and Charlie Colley 1 for 72.
The villagers made a game effort of chasing, but with several batsmen getting starts, no-one went on to play the bug innings needed.
They fell 53 runs short, having been bowled out for 234 in the 47th over.
Skipper Tom Norman made 30 at the top of the order with significant contributions from Walmsley (42), Elliot Hatton (31), Jack Hatton (34) and Will Norman (33).
