Case numbers are trending upwards across the county.
The latest coronavirus data shows that, in the 7 days leading up to 31 December, infection rates were rising across North Yorkshire.

Although other parts of the county have now overtaken the Scarborough Borough in terms of the infection rate the Borough continues to have a very high number of cases and the numbers are trending upwards.
Whitby continues to be a particular hotspot with 54 cases in the Whitby West district.
