Active Filey are hoping to raise awareness of the amount of litter that is left on our local beaches.
As the Easter holidays come to an end, Community Group - Active Filey are hoping to raise awareness of the amount of litter that is being left on our local beaches.
They are a community sports club and have organised a beach litter pick today.
Chairman of the club, Bryden Simpson, hopes that the litter pick will show people just how much rubbish is left behind.
The event is from 10am-12pm, with Litter Pickers, Hi-Vis Jackets and Gloves all available to use.
Bryden is hoping that the beach clean will help combat the amount of litter that may have been left during the busy Easter Holidays and he says that taking part in such an important event gives you a sense of appreciation for the environment.
