The A64 was closed westbound between the B1248 and A169 near Norton earlier due to a serious collision involving a motorcycle and tractor.
National Highways say the Westbound A64 has now reopened following the serious collision involving a motorcycle and tractor earlier on Tuesday.
North Yorkshire Police took the lead on the incident. Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Yorkshire Air Ambulance were also in attendance.
During the afternoon there was approximately 1 mile of congestion on approach to the closure.
Light vehicles were diverted through Norton but HGVs were kept queued on the A64.
The road reopened at around 5:30pm.
