Police say the road is closed between Sinnington and Keldholme
North Yorkshire Polcie say they are currently dealing with "a serious RTC" on the A170 between Sinnington and Keldholme.
The A170 was closed just after 3:30pm on Thursday and is expected to be closed for some time.
Officers say:
"Motorists travelling between Pickering and Kirkbymoorside should find an alternative route."
