As a family run business with over 45 years in the timber industry, Flixton Sawmill employ a team comprising of upwards of 13 members of our local community. Their staff have many years of experience, incredible industry knowledge and many have been with the company for years.

• The Prize is a £2,500 voucher to use towards any outdoor building of your choice at Flixton Sawmill, Scarborough.
• The voucher can be used as full or part payment towards the outbuilding.
• Outdoor Buildings include a shed, summer house, pergola, stable, bike storage, gin bar, home gym, office, reading room etc.
• Competition is open to all entities including schools, charities, community groups, clubs, associations and individuals.
• Entries will only be accepted from within the This Is The Coast editorial area defined by the postcodes: YO11, YO12, YO13, YO14, YO15, YO16, YO17 , YO18 , YO21, YO22, YO25, HU11, HU17, HU18, TS13. 
• Entry closes at 23:59 UK Time on September 28th 2025. The winner will ne notified on October 6th 2025.
• One winner will be selected by a panel of judges who will assess entries on the following criteria:
  • How well does the building solve the stated problem?
  • How impactful will the building be on the people who benefit from it?
  • How many people will benefit from use of the new building?
  • How does the building improve the quality of life for the users?
• Prize must be claimed by 30/04/2026 by calling Flixton Sawmill on 01723 890666 or going to the showroom on Filey Road, Flixton. 
• By entering this competition, you are agreeing that if you win, Flixton Sawmill have permission to take photos of the finished building. 
• Installation is included in the prize value. 
• For the prize to be installed, a suitable base / ground / foundation must be provided. 
• Prize is non-transferable.
• Prize cannot be exchanged for cash and no change given.
