Harry and Meghan to bring children to UK for first time in four years

Harry and Meghan will bring their children to the UK next month for the first time in four years, Sky News understands.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will travel from California with Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, to attend celebrations marking the one-year countdown to next year's Invictus Games in Birmingham.

The children last saw their grandfather, the King, in person at the time of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

Previously, Harry had expressed his wish to bring them back to the UK but voiced concerns about safety, amid his legal fight for security.

But he has now been assured that adequate security supervision will be in place for the trip, Sky News understands.

It is not yet known if there are plans for King Charles, who is still undergoing treatment for cancer, to meet his youngest grandchildren during the visit.

Harry and Charles reunited for the first time in 19 months last September.

After the duke lost a Court of Appeal challenge against the Home Office over his security arrangements while in the UK in 2025, he told the BBC he hoped to reconcile with his family but that Charles would not speak to him because of his court battle over his security.

Harry said he "can't see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK".

The duke and duchess stepped down from the working monarchy in 2020 and moved to California.

The duo then gave an interview with Oprah Winfrey, levelling a number of accusations against the Royal Family, before continuing those accusations in his book, Spare, a Netflix documentary and other interviews.

Harry remains estranged from his brother, Prince William, who he claimed in his memoir physically attacked him.

The Invictus Games, running from July 10 to 17, is a sporting competition for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans.
