Yorkshire Coast Cricket Round-Up

Just a handful of matches were completed with the wet weather around on Saturday.

In Championship East, Wykeham lost to Brandesburton by seven wickets.

Wykeham were skittled for 94 in the 32nd over.

Harry Amstell top-scored with 36.

Brandesburton got home to their slightly reduced target with ease, smashing their way to 89 inside nine overs.

Hornsea made 267/7 from their 50 overs against Folkton & Flixton.

Jonathan Fisher hit a magnificent 142- with Jack Stephenson picking up three wickets and Charlie Colley two.

Folkton & Flixton were struggling on 70/6 before the rain came.

Joe Butterworth and Douglas Griebenouw took three wickets each before the match was abandoned.

There were two wickets each for Ollie Ezard and Owen Goldsworthy as Driffield 2nds held Hull Zingari to 195/6 from 46 overs.

However, Driff got just four runs into their reply before the weather intervened.

Bridlington didn't get a bat in their clash at Easingwold in Premier 2.

The hosts got to 234/5 from their 50 overs before the rain came.

Whitby were beaten at the Turnbull Ground in North Yorkshire South Durham Division Two.

The hosts made 236/9 from 50 overs thanks to Chris Knight's 104.

Seaton Carew were then set an adjusted target of 126 which they reached with four wickets down, Jack Allanson taking two of those.

In Yorkshire Premier North, the rain came with Driffield Town 136/2 after 30 overs, Jack Redshaw was 80 not out.

Visitors York were set a revised target of 200 in 30 overs which they eased to with just one wicket lost and eight overs to spare.

Pickering beat Pocklington by four wickets after a speedy chase in Championship Central.

Tim Whincup took 5/59 and Dan Hardey 3/18 as Pock were skittled for 181 in their 50th over.

Pickering then got home by four wickets with 11 overs to spare.

Opener Kieran Edmond led the way with 62.

In the same division, Malton & Old Malton reached 206/5 from 48 overs before the wet weather won out, at home to Dunnington.

Shaun Harland made 68 and Alex Machen 66.
