Yorkshire Coast Cricket Round-Up

All our senior sides were in action on Saturday.

Scarborough lost by four wickets in Championship East.

Hosts Beverley Town bowled out Boro for just 150, Ben Squires top-scored with 31.

Kieran Rutter took 3/29 but Beverley got home with 13 overs to spare.

Elsewhere in the division, Scalby lost by just 3 runs at home to leaders Driffield 2nds.

Driff batted first, with Kevin Woodwock making 44 and Ricky Woodmansey 42 as they were bowled out for 222 in the 50th over.

Nathan Valentine took 3/41 and skipper Lachlan Cooke grabbed 3/44.

Cooke then hit 48 and David Morris added 50 but Scalby were bowled out four runs and one ball from victory.

Wykeham had a 64-run victory over Hull Zingari 2nds.

Harry Amstell top-scored with 54 and Malachai Harry hit 44 as Wykeham posted 212 from their 50 overs.

Bobby Brolly then took 4/42 as Wykeham claimed a comfortable win.

Seamer & Irton piled on the runs after choosing to bat first against Sutton-on-Hull

Archie Graham made 116 and Gregg Chadwick 112 as the hosts posted a mammoth 394/4 from 50 overs.

Toby Jones then took 6/57 as Sutton were bowled out for 229.

Folkton & Flixton lost out by 104 runs at Brandsburton.

Despite Charlie Colley taking 3/49, the hosts posted 274/7 from 50 overs.

Wicket-keeper Cameron Anderson made 45 and Jack Walmsley 38 but the villagers were dismissed for 170.

Hornsea lost out at Middle Lane.

Didier Le Roux fired 76 and skipper Joe Butterworth 42 but they were skittled for 180 in the 45th over.

Visitors South Holderness then got home by four wickets, with more than 11 overs left.

Le Roux took 2/41 and Adam Newington 2/15.

In Yorkshire Premier 2, Bridlington lost at Sheriff Hutton 2nds by 98 runs.

After floundering at 100/6, Bridge recovered to post 244/9 from their 50 overs.

Jamie Artley took 4/54.

Despite the openers putting on 54, with wicket-keeper Sam Wragg adding 41, Brid then found themselves dismissed for 146.

Whitby lost a tight low-scoring encounter at Seaton Carew in North Yorkshire South Durham Division Two.

Michael Thompson took 5/36 and Tom Steyert 4/33 as Carew were bowled out, in the penultimate over, for 187.

However, Whitby were dismissed with more than six overs to spare and 20 runs short, Rhys Buck made 36.

Driffield Town enjoyed a crushing victory over Carlton Towers in Yorkshire Premier North.

Visitors Carlton were skittled for just 133 with Elliot Hatton taking 4/42 and George Drury 3/37.

Town then raced to their target, losing just Jack Redshaw for 51 on the way.

In Championship Central, Pickering enjoyed a 91-run win over Drax.

Batting first, there were contributions up and down the order, with skipper Joe Harland top-scoring with 32 as Pickering made 239.

Tim Whincup then took 4/45 as the hosts strolled to victory.

Malton & Old Malton lost by six wickets at Selby.

Charlie Allot hit 86 and Matthew Turnbull 55 as Malton posted 238 batting first.

Matthew Webster took 2/41 but the hosts got home comfortably.
