A 34-year-old man has been arrested after a member of the public reported they saw a car driving erratically, allegedly with one wheel missing.
It happened on the A1033 near Withernsea in the East Riding of Yorkshire at around 9.15am on Thursday.
Officers were immediately deployed to the area, swiftly spotting the vehicle and requested the driver to stop. Upon approaching the driver, he reportedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and refused to provide a road side breath test.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered what were believed to be empty alcohol bottles, and a quantity of suspected class A drugs.
The driver, a 34-year-old man, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a road side breath test, drink driving, and possession of class A drugs, and remains in police custody at this time.
