The Met Office have added the whole Yorkshire Coast to their Yellow Warning for strong winds today.
Storm Otto has already closed the A1 due to a number of overturned vehicles.
It is the first named storm of the season in the UK.
Here's details of the weather warning, issued for the Yorkshire Coast in the last hour and valid until 2:00pm today:
A spell of strong winds is expected during Friday morning, easing from the west during the afternoon. Winds will be strongest over, and immediately to the east of high ground, with gusts of 50-60 mph. Gusts as high as 65 mph are possible in places. High-sided vehicles may be particularly impacted.
