Momentum is building within the camp following a successful trip away from home on Saturday. The squad secured a two-one victory at Leek, and the management is eager to see that winning energy translated into a strong performance in front of a home crowd.
Lee Bullock's men are aiming to replicate the intense work rate shown during the latter stages of their weekend win. Speaking to Whitby Town TV, Bullock emphasised that he wants to see a performance mirroring the final hour of the match at Leek, rather than the team's initial start:
"Yeah, it'll be. We We haven't cracked it by any means. We're like still so far off. But yeah, if if we're going to play like that first half an hour, teams will take advantage, teams will enjoy playing against us. Teams want enjoy the last hour of that game because it was 100% commitment on everything they went for, every challenge."
The desire to entertain the home supporters is also a clear priority for the playing squad as they prepare for the Tuesday night clash.
Defender James Dillon echoed the management's sentiments when speaking to Whitby Town TV. He stressed that while the team has proven they can grind out results and work hard defensively, they now want to showcase their attacking abilities and utilise the wider areas of the pitch:
"Yeah of course yeah just they just dug in really well and I'm just hoping on Tuesday we can show a bit more on the football side and not just not just being able to dig deep and and which we know we can do just play a bit more football, bit more attacking on the wide areas you know and I think hopefully give the fans something there to cheer about on Tuesday."
