First-team manager Lee Bullock has resigned from his position at the Northern Premier League Premier Division club to focus on his health and family, with assistant Denny Ingram stepping up as caretaker manager.
First-team football management duties will transition to a caretaker manager following the resignation of Lee Bullock.
The Northern Premier League Premier Division manager has stepped down from his role to prioritise his personal wellbeing. Officials confirmed that he requires a course of medication and additional monitoring over the coming weeks, prompting his decision to leave the dugout.
Assistant manager Denny Ingram will now take charge of first-team affairs on a temporary caretaker basis while the club evaluates its options for a permanent successor.
The board of directors confirmed they have formally accepted the resignation, emphasising that family and personal health must always take precedence over the sport.
A spokesperson for the board of directors said:
"Everyone at the club recognises that health and family will always come first over football, and he goes with best wishes to himself and his family. Lee is fit and well, but is undergoing a course of medication and requires additional monitoring over the coming weeks, which has led him to this decision."
A significant legacy remains at the club following Bullock's departure. Affectionately known as 'Bully', he has been an integral figure across two separate spells since originally joining the squad as a player in 2013 under the management of Darren Williams.
Career progression at the club saw him transition from his playing days into several key off-pitch roles. Over the years, he has served as assistant manager, commercial manager, and ultimately first-team manager.
Survival in the Northern Premier League Premier Division was successfully secured during his second spell in charge. Following that achievement, he oversaw a comprehensive rebuilding of the playing squad during the summer months.
Expressing gratitude for his long-term service and dedication, the board of directors added:
"Everyone associated with the club would like to place on record their thanks to Bully for his dedication and commitment to the club over the years. Further announcements with regards the managerial position will be made in due course."
