Warning to Walkers After Sewerby Landslip

Walkers on the Yorkshire Coast are being reminded of the dangers of landslips.

The warning comes after reports of two landslips on the coast in the last few days.
 
The first was at Mapleton, south of Hornsea. The Second occurred yesterday morning near Sewerby.
 
The Coastal Services team at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council is reminding walkers to take care at both the top and bottom of cliffs saying..
 
"Please remember to take care whilst walking along cliff tops, never get too close to the edge and do not walk directly under cliffs whilst enjoying a beach walk."
