North Yorkshire Police are urgently appealing for information to help find a sixteen-year-old girl named Masoumeh who has gone missing in Scarborough.
North Yorkshire Police have launched an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating a missing sixteen-year-old girl on the Yorkshire Coast.
Officers are currently conducting active searches in and around the Scarborough area for the teenager, who has been named as Masoumeh.
According to the force, Masoumeh was last seen at an address in Scarborough at 12.30pm today, the twenty-sixth of June.
She is described by authorities as being around six feet one inch tall and of a slim build. She has long black hair and hazel eyes.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said:
"However, she has been out of contact with her support network since she’s been missing and we’re growing increasingly concerned for her welfare. Extensive enquiries are ongoing to locate Masoumeh."
The police are urging the local community to come forward with any potential sightings or details that could assist their investigation.
The North Yorkshire Police spokesperson added:
"As part of this, we are asking for anyone who may have seen her, or who has information about her whereabouts, to contact us immediately."
Members of the public who have seen the teenager, or who hold any information that could assist the search efforts, are asked to call 101 and pass the information to the Force Control Room.
However, if anyone has an immediate sighting of Masoumeh, they are instructed to dial 999 to allow officers to quickly make sure she is safe.
