There may be a solution on the way for the problem of Scarborough's noisy train depot.
Since the Transpennine depot for the new NOVA 3 trains opened on Seamer Road last year some local residents have been complaining about night time noise keeping them awake.
The depot is used to clean and service trains overnight.
Scarborough MP Robert Goodwill says talks he's had with Transpennine suggest there may be a solution.
Mr Goodwill who has previously worked in the department for transport, says he has been in weekly discussions with the train company. He says the solution they are working on requires some input from Network Rail and his former department.
