Scarborough residents are being invited to find out more about Pride in Place, the role of the Scarborough Neighbourhood Board and the first projects beginning to move forward across the town.
A public event will take place at The Street, Scarborough, on Friday 11 September 2026, with three short presentation sessions at 5.30pm, 6.15pm and 7pm.
Each session will follow the same format, giving an overview of Pride in Place, the role of the Neighbourhood Board, engagement so far and an update on the projects and programmes moving into delivery.
Afterwards, residents will be able to speak directly with Board members and project representatives, ask questions and find out more about individual projects.
There will also be information on how local people can continue to get involved and have their say as the programme develops.
The event comes as Scarborough’s Pride in Place programme moves into its next stage, with the first agreed projects beginning to progress.
Heath Samples, Chair of the Scarborough Neighbourhood Board, said:
“Pride in Place is a long-term programme for Scarborough and it is important that people can see what is happening, understand how decisions are being made and continue to have opportunities to get involved.
“This event is a chance to hear where we are now, find out more about the projects beginning to move forward and, importantly, ask questions directly of the people involved.
“We know people want to see progress, but we also want to make sure there is an open conversation as that progress happens.”
Places are free, but advance booking is required to help manage numbers.
The presentations will also be recorded and made available online for people who are unable to attend.
