Scarborough RNLI's all-weather lifeboat (ALB) was tasked to assist a pleasure craft suffering engine failure in Cornelian Bay.
The incident happened on Wednesday.
The vessel was safely towed back to Scarborough Harbour.
During the same period, Scarborough RNLI's inshore lifeboat (ILB) was tasked to reports of a missing 17-year-old swimmer in North Bay. Fortunately, the individual was located safe and well before the lifeboat was launched.
It was another busy afternoon for Scarborough's volunteer lifeboat crews.
If you see anyone in difficulty in or around the water, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Your call could save a life.
