Taking time to understand what the Scarborough Borough wants from it's big development projects is the right approach to take according to borough councillor Liz Colling.
Last week the council's leader survived a vote of no confidence, one of the arguments put forward for that vote was a lack of progress on projects like the Futurist Theatre Site the North Bay development and the old Argos site.
Speaking at the meeting Councillor Colling said rushing projects was not the right approach.
Councillor Colling said getting the planning right is key to those projects being a success and she offered this update on the futurist project.
