Around 94 percent of affordable homes in the Scarborough Borough are allocated to local people.
That's the reassurance from the borough's housing team who say that despite social housing being allocated on a North Yorkshire wide basis, the number of people being allocated homes in Scarborough from outside the borough is very small.
