Scarborough Athletic's Home Ground Renamed Moneyweb Stadium in Five-Year Deal

Chris Marson, Marketing Director, Scarborough Athletic; Paul Robinson, Managing Director, Moneyweb; and Trevor Bull, Chairman, Scarborough Athletic, at the Moneyweb Stadium.

Scarborough Athletic's home ground has been officially renamed the Moneyweb Stadium after the fan-owned club secured a five-year naming rights partnership to help fund its long-term future.

The home ground of Scarborough Athletic will now be officially known as the Moneyweb Stadium following a major five-year sponsorship agreement.

Fans will see the new branding for the first time when the Seadogs host Bedford Town on Saturday, 24 October. The change comes as the fan-owned club returns to Scarborough Sports Village for the 2026/27 season, following a difficult year playing their home fixtures in exile down the coast in Bridlington.

Crucial revenue generated from the naming rights will go directly to the club to support its long-term future. North Yorkshire Council, which owns the facility, agreed to let the football club retain the financial benefits of the deal to aid their recovery from the recent groundshare.

The partnership deepens existing ties with Moneyweb, an independent financial advice and wealth management firm based at Betton Business Park in East Ayton. The company has sponsored the National League North side for the past five seasons and now steps up to become their Official Pensions and Financial Advice Partner.

Supporters are also set to benefit directly from the new arrangement. The financial firm is introducing a unique fee-share scheme where fans receive a one-third discount on all advice fees. From the remaining revenue, one third will be donated back to the football club, with the final third retained by the business.

Scarborough Athletic chairman Trevor Bull highlighted the importance of the agreement for the club's stability.

"This is a big day for our club. Moneyweb have stood by us for five seasons, and putting their name on our home shows real belief in where Scarborough Athletic is going. As a fan-owned club, a long-term partnership with a local business like this helps secure our future, on and off the pitch. It's still our home, and our colours will always be red and white."

Managing director of Moneyweb, Paul Robinson, expressed his pride in securing the stadium naming rights.

"We are thrilled to be extending our partnership with Scarborough Athletic. Football is at the heart of the town, and we are proud to support the club on and off the pitch. Seeing our name on the stadium is a real honour, and we look forward to a successful partnership."

The collaboration is built around a shared ethos of investing in the future, tying into the sponsor's existing athlete support programme and the football club's extensive community work. Off the pitch, Scarborough Athletic operates an academy spanning from under-sevens to the men's reserves, alongside the SAFC Community Foundation.

Scarborough Athletic's marketing director, Chris Marson, welcomed the expanded relationship with the local business.

"It's been a pleasure working with Paul and the team at Moneyweb. They're forward-thinking and innovative, and I'm looking forward to exploring this partnership further in a way that benefits the football club, its supporters and, of course, Moneyweb."

External signage for the newly named stadium will be installed as soon as possible, pending planning consent from North Yorkshire Council.

The naming marks a new chapter for the club, which was formed by the Seadog Trust in 2007 following the closure of Scarborough FC. After spending their first ten seasons playing twenty miles away in Bridlington, the team returned to the Yorkshire Coast town in 2017 and achieved four promotions in thirteen seasons to reach the sixth tier of English football.
