Scarborough Athletic are desperate to bounce back with a victory against Hebburn Town, despite facing squad injuries including a potentially season-ending setback for Michael Duckworth.
A return to winning ways is desperately sought by Scarborough Athletic as they prepare for a rearranged National North clash against Hebburn Town.
The push for a vital victory comes during a challenging period for the squad, which has been severely disrupted by a potentially season-ending injury to Michael Duckworth.
Fresh talent is actively being sought to bolster the ranks, with club officials confirming the search for new blood to cope with the mounting injury list across the team.
On Friday, Athletic signed attacking Leeds United Youth Player Harvey Vincent on a short-term loan deal.
The versatile winger, who can also operate at full-back, has been in impressive form for Scott Gardner’s Leeds United Under-21s, scoring twice and grabbing five assists in all competitions this term.
The upcoming away fixture against Hebburn Town has been rescheduled to accommodate the squad's off-pitch commitments, allowing players to better balance their work schedules with the demands of the league.
Speaking to SAFC TV after last weekend's 4-1 thumping at Radcliffe, Scarborough Athletic manager Jono Greening explained the reasoning behind the fixture change:
"We decided we'd rather play on the Saturday than the Tuesday night and being away from home, it's probably easier for all our lads to get there on a Saturday and it is on the Tuesday night, you know, with them all being working, so it makes it makes sense to most people and yeah, we're going up on Saturday and you obviously have to put a better performance on with it than today."
A much-improved performance is demanded following recent outings, as acknowledged by the manager ahead of the journey.
Fans unable to make the trip can tune in for full coverage of the action.
Live commentary of the match will be broadcast on This Is The Coast Extra from 3pm on Saturday.
