The Seadogs were comfortably beaten in Norfolk on Bank Holiday Monday.
The 3-1 defeat at King's Lynn came despite Boro taking a first half lead.
In-form frontman Mo Fadera seized on a defensive error and finished calmly for 1-0 Boro on 35 minutes.
Crucially, the South East side levelled just before the interval.
They then took control in the second half on a difficult afternoon for Boro.
SAFC TV spoke to boss Jono Greening at full-time:
"Yeah, I think the second half was poor from us. I think first half we were as fluid as we have been recently.
"Obviously a tricky game. They lost their last game so we went up for it, but I thought there was nothing in the game. In fact, we probably should have been two or three-nil up before they scored. Obviously good to get a goal to one-nil up and then we missed a couple of really good chances. Mo's chance, Dante there was another one as well. Kees' header that's headed down and bounced over the crossbar. So potentially it could have been three-nil up, different story, but we weren't clinical enough. And then, we give a sloppy goal away. But like we said to the players at half time, we said it's still one-all.
"A few years ago, we were three-nil down at half time came back and won, so we're in a very good position. We need to start the second half really well. And basically we didn't start the second half well enough. Gave the ball away too sloppily didn't press at the right times a little bit all over the place, huffed and puffed a bit. We looked tired. And listen, I know-- understand the players have had, a tough game on Saturday. We've hardly got any players. I think they made four or five changes from their team on Saturday which we couldn't do really.
"And I think second half we just looked, a little bit jaded, a little bit tired, a little bit not all over the place, but, concentration levels weren't like they normally are. And we lost a few battles in there. And I think, once they scored the third we tried to go a little bit gung-ho to try and get a goal back, which will give us the impetus to find a bit of energy from somewhere. Tried a few different shapes, went four-two-four the last twenty minutes to try and make something happen, but nothing really. We didn't really make any clear-cut chances second half. And the guys give it their all, but I think the two games in three days, the long four and a half hour drive down here has probably just affected the lads a little bit too much."
The Seadogs are back in action, on Saturday, at home to Telford in National North.
